Welcome to The Major Quest
A unique and ambitious challenge lies ahead: to collect the signatures of every winner of the four major championships — The Masters Tournament, The Open Championship, The U.S. Open, and The PGA Championship — from 2000 through the end of 2025. In total, this extraordinary endeavor spans 103 champions and 103 signatures, each representing a defining moment in modern golf history.
This is more than a collection. It is a journey — one shaped by perseverance, passion, and the pursuit of connection to the game’s greatest stages. Each signature carries a story: unforgettable victories, dramatic finishes, breakthrough performances, and the human moments behind championship triumphs. These stories unfold here in a series of episodes titled The Quest, where the path to completing this remarkable collection is shared step by step.
We invite you to be part of the journey. Follow our progress through the live tracker, explore the rich history of the four majors, and uncover lesser-known facts that add new depth to golf’s most celebrated tournaments. Take part in “Golfing During the Quest,” engage with fellow enthusiasts, and help us grow a community united by a shared appreciation for the game and its champions.
Welcome and enjoy!

One Goal. Four Majors. Endless Memories.
The Major Quest is a unique personal project dedicated to collecting authentic signatures from the greatest golfers who have competed in golf's four Major Championships.
This isn't about buying memorabilia—it's about the journey. Every signature has a story, every meeting creates a memory, and every championship brings another opportunity to get one step closer to completing what many believe is an impossible collection.
The Holy Grail: The Four Majors
The four Major Championships represent the pinnacle of professional golf. Every signature collected from these legendary events brings The Major Quest one step closer to completing one of golf's most ambitious personal collections.
The Masters
The youngest of the 4 majors. First played in 1934 on the grounds of Augusta National Golf Club. It is the only major that is played on the same course every year.
The U.S. Open
First played in 1865 and is known for its extremely difficult course setup. A winning score over PAR is not uncommon. The US Open is a test of stamina and survival.
The PGA Championship
The PGA Championship was first played in 1916 as a match play event. It was changed to stroke play in 1958. The winner receives the Wanamaker trophy, an iconic trophy in golf.
The Open
The oldest golf championship in the world, first played in 1860. It is contested on the coastal links courses across the United Kingdom. The winner takes home the Claret Jug.

Signature of the month
Some of golf’s greatest figures never won a major, yet their longevity, consistency, grit, and unforgettable moments made them legends. Signature of the Month celebrates both established names and rising stars, sharing the stories behind my encounters with them and their place in golf’s past and future.
September 2026 – Jerry Kelly
Jerry Kelly turned professional in 1989 and earned his PGA Tour card in 1996, going on to build a career that included three PGA Tour victories and an appearance for the United States in the 2003 Presidents Cup. After turning 50, Kelly moved onto the PGA Tour Champions in 2017 and has been even more successful there, winning 14 times, including three senior majors. His most recent victory came at the 2026 Senior Open at Gleneagles, adding another impressive chapter to a career that has now spanned more than three decades.
I got Jerry Kelly’s signature during the second round of the 2026 Senior Open. I was walking towards the first tee when I crossed paths with him as he was heading to the driving range to start his warm-up. I casually asked him if he would sign a cap, and he happily did. I wished him luck before we went our separate ways. It certainly turned out to be a good omen for Kelly, as he went on to win the tournament just two days later.
